Work Introduction

This chamber orchestra version of Partita for Orchestra was commissioned by the William Walton Trust/Fondazione William Walton e La Mortella/Chetham's School of Music and was premiered on the island of Ischia (Italy) at the Walton house in July 2019.  
• Strings: this arrangement can be performed with a string section of minimum 2.2.2.2.1, up to full chamber orchestra sized
