FILM WITH ORCHESTRA

George Morton is one of Europe's most experienced and prolific conductors of film with orchestra. In demand across the UK, and the EU, George conducts a large variety of film scores, from early silents through to modern feature films.

George is Principal Conductor of the Picture House Orchestra, the UK's foremost ensemble for performing live to picture.  With this orchestra he has given the world premiere performances of the Amazing Maurice (Alexandra Palace, London), Stand By for Action (Symphony Hall, Birmingham), We're Going on a Bear Hunt (UK Tour 2021), Shaun the Sheep: The Flight Before Christmas (UK Tour 2022), and The Snowdog (2012, new orchestral version 2024).

As a regular guest with Babylon Orchester Berlin, George has conducted the premieres of Mark Scheibe's Dr Mabuse (parts 1 and 2), Hans Brandner's reconstruction of Nosferatu and Berlin Sinfonie, as well as multiple performances of Metropolis, the Gold Rush, The Circus and Modern Times.
