Steel City Music Publishing was established in early 2021 to publish arrangements by George Morton. Using professional materials, equipment and techniques, SCMP can provide world-class materials to orchestras and ensembles across the globe. SCMP was established with support from Arts Council England and is a member of the Music Publishers Association.
A principal aim of SCMP is to broaden the repertoire available to ensembles (from professional to amateur, student and youth) by publishing arrangements and orchestrations of music by composers from backgrounds currently under represented on the concert platform. Most of our repertoire is for chamber ensemble or orchestra, with a small wind and brass section + chamber strings. Many pieces can be adapted and orchestrated for full orchestra or for a different instrumentation to the existing version– please get in touch for more information. Recent clients have included London Philharmonic Orchestra, London Mozart Players, Opera on Location, Sheffield Youth Orchestra, London Chamber Orchestra, Royal Academy of Music and Wayzata High School (Minnesota).
