Since 2020 George Morton has frequently collaborated with the internationally acclaimed author and illustrator James Mayhew. Alongside ensembles including Britten Sinfonia, SÓN, Sheffield Philharmonic, Orsini Winds, Purcell School, and Hatfield House Chamber Music Festival Orchestra, George has provided small ensemble versions of repertoire for James to present and paint live in concert.
Once Upon a Tune , a one-hour concert based on James' bestselling children's book of tales from the orchestra, is now available in three small ensemble versions. These concerts are perfect for the whole family and, in the new arrangements, sees the possibility of presenting James work in exciting and different performance spaces.
