The Northampton Bach Choir and their outgoing Musical Director Lee Dunleavy have commissioned George to produce a reduced orchestration of Ethel Smyth's Mass in D. The premiere will be in March 2023 with conductor Laurie Baille, in the Spinney Theatre, Northampton.
This new arrangement leaves the choral and solo parts untouched and reduces the orchestral accompaniment to a small chamber orchestra, hopefully allowing more choirs across the world to perform this fantastic work.  The arrangement will be published by Novello and will be available to hire worldwide from 19th March 2023.

SMYTH Mass in D
1 1 1 1 – 2 1 1 0 – tmp+1, str (min 1 1 1 1 1) + SATB soloists + choir
