Work Introduction

This chamber edition of Strauss' epic tone poem is perfect for bringing huge orchestral repertoire to smaller concert halls and interesting new venues, and for smaller ensembles to explore and share with new audiences ( and it's ideal for socially distanced concerts).

This reduction can be performed with a small string section (3 2 2 2 1 players) up to full chamber strings (c. 6 5 4 3 2).
