Work Introduction

Samuel Coleridge–Taylor's delightful African Dances, originally for violin and piano, is now available for solo violin and chamber orchestra in a brand new orchestration.   This arrangement was commissioned and premiered by the London Mozart Players, with Ruth Rogers as violin soloist.

• Strings: this arrangement can be performed with 2 2 2 2 1 players up to a full chamber orchestra section

• The solo violin part remains as the original. A newly engraved version will be provided with the hire set.
